The Care Badge

The Care Badge Initiative

A collaboration between ARCHANGELS and The Joint Commission, the Care Badge initiative reframes for caregivers and potential employers the act of caregiving as a strength-based asset invaluable in the workforce, recognizing the value of the skills unpaid caregivers build in the role and translating those skills into new opportunities.

The Care Badge can be displayed anywhere and everywhere — shared on social media, added to a resume or job application — connecting caregivers to a movement shouting from the rooftops that unpaid caregivers know how to get things done.

The Care Badge initiative is also opportunity for the country to better rally around this population that serves as the invisible backbone of our nation — offering employers and communities a low-lift, high-impact way to support those who are keeping our economy alive with their care.

What is the Care Badge?

Everything you do for others? It matters. A lot. It can also feel like a lot, and that effort and impact can be invisible in so many ways.

The Care Badge is a way to let the world know just how much you care (because it’s something to celebrate). Free to all, the Badge recognizes the value of the skills you've built showing up for those around you and gives you a visual way to show your caregiving experience - on your resume, Linkedin, and more. It's also a quick a way to access additional resources and networks of support.

Get your badge - you've earned it in all the ways you care. Know someone else who cares a lot? Help them get theirs, too!
